About me

I completed my BSc in Computer Engineering and MSc in Artificial Intelligence in Iran . I also worked as a researcher assistance at institute for research in fundamental sciences (IPM), Tehran. Since September 2021, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Graduate school of System Neuroscience (GSN) at LMU Munich, where I work in the Crowd cognition and the Cognition, Values, Behaviour (CVBE) research groups. My research focuses on computational modelling of learning and decision making, and their intersection.
Areas of interest:
Decision making, learning, behavioural modelling.
I am working on:
Decision making
Specifically, I am interested in the neural mechanism underlying perceptual decision making. I want to know how humans process noisy evidence in the environment and how this evidence computes their beliefs about the accuracy of their decisions.
Learning
I investigate the underlying mechanisms of learning. In particular, I am interested in how cognitive biases affect the process of learning in humans.
Intersection of decision making and learning.
I study how humans learn to make perceptual decisions when the evidence they use to inform those decisions is noisy. I want to find out how decision making and learning are computationally connected.
Social decision making
I study how social contexts affect human decision making in social interaction.
I have worked on:
Machine learning and Deep learning
I am an ML engineer by training. In my work, I have used various ML and DL techniques to address academic research questions and to develop products in the industry .
